Tell the careful suppliers from the careless ones

You buy chatbots, document processing, scheduling and scoring tools that run on AI. Until now there has been no simple way to tell which suppliers govern that AI and which do not. The register is public, the evidence is verifiable in seconds, and the tools on this page are free.

Check a supplier list

One supplier per line. ABN, website or business name. Up to 100.

Watch the list

We check it every day and email you when a supplier is certified, renews, lapses, is revoked or changes tier. Free. Stop any time.

Paste your suppliers above first.

Model tender wording

Paste into a tender, a supplier code or an onboarding form. Adjust to your procurement rules.

Responsible use of artificial intelligence

Where the supplier uses artificial intelligence in delivering the services, or in any system that makes or shapes decisions about individuals, the supplier must:

(a) hold current certification from Responsible AI Australia, or provide equivalent independent evidence that its AI practices have been assessed against Australia's AI Ethics Principles;

(b) provide, on request, its certification identifier so that the buyer may verify status on the public register at responsibleaiaustralia.com.au or through the verification API;

(c) tell the buyer within 30 days if that certification expires, is revoked or changes tier; and

(d) maintain a published description of how people are told they are interacting with AI, how humans oversee it, and how a person can ask for human review of a decision.

Certification is evidence of assessed practice. It is not a warranty of legal compliance and does not limit the supplier's obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 or any other law.

What a certified supplier can give you

An assurance pack, one PDF that answers the AI questions in a standard supplier questionnaire from the certification record, each answer marked assessed, declared or not covered. And an AI Transparency Card, one screen on how it uses AI and how to question a decision.

What certification is, and is not

An independent, human review of a business's AI practice against Australia's AI Ethics Principles, at one of three tiers, renewed yearly. It is not a legal compliance determination and not a product test. Read the published scope.

Build it into your systems

Every check on this page is a free API call. Verify one supplier, a batch of 100, or pull the signed credential into your vendor management system. Developer docs.

Recognise certification in your onboarding

If your organisation would like to recognise Responsible AI Australia certification in supplier onboarding, or needs a briefing for a procurement or risk committee, we will come to you.
