Using the Responsible AI Certified mark
The Responsible AI Australia mark is a Certification Trade Mark (No. 2482971) governed by our published Certification Rules. This page sets out the approved forms of the Mark under section 6 of the Rules and the conditions that apply to every business that displays it.

Who may use it
Businesses listed on the public register with an active certification, during their 12-month Certification Period, in relation to their own goods and services. Certification is granted at one of three tiers, and the tier shown must match the tier on the register.
Approved forms of the Mark
Three forms are approved. Each one identifies your business, your tier, and where the certification can be verified.
1. The live badge (recommended)
One line of code on your website. Verifies against the register on every page load and renders nothing if certification lapses.

2. Tier seals for print and static use
For proposals, decks, signage and places a script cannot run. Use only the seal for your tier, unaltered, with the words “Certified by Responsible AI Australia” and your certification ID nearby.
3. The text lockup
For email signatures, tender responses and anywhere an image is impractical.

Conditions of use
These restate the obligations in section 6 of the Certification Rules.
- Use the Mark only in the approved forms on this page, and only in relation to your own goods and services.
- Never alter the design of the Mark: no recolouring, stretching, cropping, redrawing or adding effects.
- Every use of the Mark must be accompanied by the words “Certified by Responsible AI Australia”. The live badge and the text lockup include them; place them next to a tier seal.
- Maintain compliance with your certification tier throughout the Certification Period, and tell us about any material change to your operations that affects compliance.
- Stop using the Mark when your certification expires, is suspended or is revoked. The live badge does this for you automatically.
What the Mark does not claim
- Do not present the Mark as a certification of a particular AI product, model or system. It certifies your business’s responsible AI practices at the tier shown.
- Do not describe the Mark as evidence of compliance with any law, regulation or standard. Our assessment is against the Australian AI Ethics Principles and the published tier criteria only.
- Do not use the Mark for a related company, partner, supplier or client that is not itself certified.
- Do not use the Mark in a way that is misleading about the scope, tier or currency of your certification.
Checking a mark
Anyone can confirm a certification in seconds. Search the register, or query the free verification API by business name, ABN, domain or certification ID. A signed credential is published for every certification.
Seen the Mark misused?
Misuse of the Mark, or use by a business that is not certified, is grounds for suspension or revocation under section 9 of the Rules. Tell us and we will investigate.
